Top Available Free Agents Left for Bears After the Draft

LAKE FOREST, Ill., — Now that the 2022 NFL draft is history, the Chicago Bears will look to free agency to fill out and make final tweaks and improvements to their roster. And it’s a roster that still has some holes in important spots on the roster.

General manager Ryan Poles has added a decent amount of wide receivers and offensive linemen through the draft and in free agency, but both still remain positions of need for the Bears. The team could also use a linebacker in the middle of the field to put alongside Roquan Smith and Nicholas Morrow, as well as a potential replacement for Eddie Goldman, Akiem Hicks or both.

Chicago inked over 20 undrafted free agents after the draft concluded, but the team’s work in free agency surely isn’t finished just yet. The Bears will likely keep a few of those undrafted free agents but the reality is, you can’t count on them to come in and make an impact right away.

Considering wideout and offensive line are still the biggest question marks for the Bears position-wise, the likelihood is Poles is still looking to address one or both of those areas in free agency. With positional needs, available cap space and scheme fit taken into consideration, (and also practicality, so no Odell Beckham Jr.) here’s a look at some of the top available free agents left on the market the Bears could take a look at.
